I have no specific thing to rant about this week unfortunately so here are some updates! 

Since the last time I updated, Jack and I celebrated Christmas and New Years. Christmas was absolutely wonderful. As a Christmas Eve gift Jack got us these mugs 

If you can’t read what they say, they say ‘first Christmas with my hot new husband/wife’ they were super funny and we had fun drinking mimosas out of them on Christmas morning. As for New Years, Jack and I attended 3 parties and somehow still fell asleep before the new year even hit. Go figures. Still, I got to try some new makeup ideas as well as a killer outfit that I mostly bought at Savers. Heck yeah! 

This week Jack has been sick with a horrible cold that blew through my whole family. I caught the treacherous sickness as well but was lucky enough for it not to last longer than a couple of days so at least not having tonsils was good for that! On a good note though, we finally purchased our tickets for Universal studios and Disneyworld! We leave in two weeks and could not be more exstatic. I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to do my makeup for weeks! We also made character dining plans in Disney so we will be having ice cream on Princess Tiana’s riverboat! Tiana is my fave Disney princess and who doesn’t love eating ice cream? So we’re getting very excited for that! We will have to wait through the snow until that point though as that’s all we are getting here in Utah along with the stupid drivers that only seem to show up once snowflakes hit the ground. 

That’s about all I have to really say as of right now. Life has been very good and full of wonderful happenings. My stress has been low and my personal improvement has gone up! I’m happy to see start seeing things in a more positive light as life can knock us all down sometimes and it sure did for me. 

The finance book I am reading is informative as well as comepletely and utterly overwhelming. Some of the phrases have been a little confusing and to be honest, I still don’t really know how bonds work. On the upside though the first two chapters were filled with information I already knew! This book has made our money much easier to manage by thinking in the long term and it was also reassuring that we were making headway in the right direction with our money. My personal goal for this week will be to prep all of my breakfast and lunch meals. For breakfast I will be making overnight Nutella, banana, peanut butter oats and for lunch I will be making tilapia with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli. By meal prepping I am better able to take care of my body, be conscious of the foods I am eating, and not reach for unhealthy options when in a hunger frenzy. The hardest part will be finding the motivation to get up and make all the food but with willpower it can be done. If you want the overnight oats recipe I will post it below. 

With all of that being said, I think I would like to start incorporating some vlogging in with my posts. Just some fun things I would film throughout the week and possibly a few beauty tutorials thrown in from time to time. Is this something that any of you would like to see? Nutella peanut butter banana overnight oats (there has got to be shorter name for these) 


1.5 cups almond milk

1.5 cups quick oats

1 Tbsp peanut butter

1 Tbsp Nutella

1/2 banana 

  1. Start by putting your almond milk, Nutella and peanut butter in a blender and blending until smooth then transfer into a jar or Tupperware container
  2. Slice up 1/4 of the banana into very small chunks about 1/2 inch in size. 
  3. Put half of the banana chunks into the container with the almond milk 
  4. Add your quick oats gradually mixing in between
  5. Add the rest of your banana chunks and stir into the mixture
  6. Pop in the fridge and eat in the morning!

I like to slice up some bananas in the morning and add them on top for some extra sweetness. If the oats are not sweet enough for you add a little bit of honey, sugar or stevia to add a little kick.

  1. We meal planned last night too! It can be so time consuming but Tim was pretty impressed this morning when his breakfast lunch and snacks were all ready to go! He leaves really early in the morning so night prep is a must! We started going to the gym together too, which is a challenge since I hate the gym! Hahahah! Thanks for writing.   2. This is great! I’ve yet to meal plan…. would probably eat a lot better and I am horrible with my self image right now because I keep fluctuating in my weight and usually have been under 135. One goal for me is to walk daily because it is such nice weather here since I cancelled my gym membership, (it was more like a 150.00 donation a month to the nicest gym here and we didn’t utilize it much). I also need to eat, I don’t eat breakfast barely eat lunch and I eat dinner since I cook for the family. If I can tackle that I’m sure it would help me a ton instead of just takin Mexico phentramine lmao! although I miss that energy and legal housewife crack!
